"SIENNA POND"
This painting was commissioned by Bill and Rena Buchanan to specifically suit the "rustic" colours and feel of the decor that was already present in their home. They also needed it to be large enough for the feature wall of their lounge.
Some of you may notice that this painting is very similar to one of Ivan Clarke's works "Autumn Reflections." Initially, Rena went to Ivan and asked him to do a commission for her - similar to that of one of his more recent paintings "Autumn Reflections," which was her favourite. In the end Ivan suggested that she have me do it instead, and so - with Ivan's specific request and permission to "re-create something very similar for her", I was able to meet Rena's specific needs.
